March 16, 2020 COGCC CONTINUES WELLBORE INTEGRITY RULEMAKING TO APRIL 29-30, 2020
On March 16, 2020, the COGCC announced that the Wellbore Integrity Rulemaking originally scheduled for March 25-26, 2020 will be continued to April 29-30, 2020. This decision was made in light of the Governor’s recommendation to cancel public gatherings of 250 people or more, and the Centers for Disease Control’s recommendation to cancel gatherings of 50 people or more. The COGCC relayed that rather than have all parties participate remotely, rescheduling to a later date when the Commission and parties could convene in person would be preferable. The Commission will now meet virtually on March 25th to take up its normal business. The March 25, 2020 hearing should include reports from the Director, Commissioner comments, and a Consent Agenda.
