April 1, 2020 WYOMING SUPREME COURT ISSUES TWO NEW EMERGENCY ORDERS REGARDING TEMPORARY COVID-19 RESPONSES AND PLANSpdf

The Wyoming Supreme Court released two new Emergency Orders on April 1, 2020. The first extends three previously entered Orders relating to COVID-19 plans for all Circuit Courts, District Courts and the Supreme Court, from April 10th to May 31st. The second order consists of a general restatement of the March 18th, 2020 Temporary Plan to Address Health Risks Posed by the COVID-19 Pandemic, but adds language in Paragraph 2a that encourages judges to use telephonic or video technology for felony sentencings and evidentiary felony revocation hearings with written consent of the defendant.
