May 19, 2020 COGCC MAY 2020 OPERATOR MEETING & HEARING UPDATES
On May 19, 2020, the COGCC held its monthly Operator Meeting during which the COGCC made several important announcements. First, the COGCC canceled the May 27, 2020 COGCC Hearing to allow COGCC Staff to focus on the Mission Change Rulemaking stakeholder process. The next scheduled COGCC Hearing will be June 10-11, 2020, which will include a Consent Agenda and the Wellbore Integrity Rulemaking Hearing. In addition, the Director announced the issuance of a Memorandum on Public Involvement and Comment for COGCC Permit Applications, which provides an overview of the existing online public comment process for all permits submitted with the COGCC. Finally, the COGCC addressed existing Rules and requirements for Waiting on Completion Wells that have been drilled, cased and cemented but not yet completed, stimulated or perforated.
