The Commission held its October meeting on October 30, 2019 at the COGCC which included a presentation and discussion of the CDPHE Health Study, Reports from the Director on the Health Study impacts and the upcoming Rulemaking Hearings, robust Commissioner Discussion, Public Comment, and approval of a Consent Agenda.

At approximately 10:00am on October 17, 2019, the CDPHE health study was published that analyzed health effects from oil and gas activities within 300’-2,000’ from oil and gas locations.

The COGCC held its October monthly Operations Meeting on October 15, 2019, in which several important topics were addressed.

The COGCC released a new Hearings and Applications Process Guidebook which was prepared to provide members of the regulated community and the public information on the Commission’s hearings process and to “facilitate public involvement.”

The COGCC released its proposed redline amendments to the Flowline Rules on October 8, 2019 and held its second Stakeholder meeting on October 9, 2019 at the COGCC.

On October 8, 2019, the Wildgrass Oil and Gas Committee (via Colorado Rising) filed a Complaint in the Denver District Court against the COGCC.

On September 23, 2019, lawyers from Jost Energy Law, P.C. and co-counsel, Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell, secured a complete victory for Crestone Peak Resources Operating, LLC in a lawsuit brought by Boulder County that challenged several of Crestone’s oil and gas leases.

On September 17, 2019, the COGCC issued a new Guidance Document related to Form 2 permit applications in Weld County.

On September 17, 2019, the COGCC held its September Operator Meeting in which Director Robbins and his Staff announced several important changes to its Form 2 and 2A Policies.

On September 3, 2019, the COGCC executed a Memorandum of Understanding with Weld County regarding Weld County’s 1041 WOGLA permit process.
