September 23, 2020 CDPHE RELEASES FACT SHEET ON SEPTEMBER 2020 REGULATION NO. 7 RULE REVISIONS
The Colorado Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) of the CDPHE adopted several revisions to Regulation No. 7 on September 23, 2020. These revisions have been summarized on a recently-released Fact Sheet found here: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdphe/APCD-whats-new.
The AQCC Rulemaking implemented several requirements of Senate Bill 19-181, House Bill 19-096 and Senate Bill 19-1261 with new requirements for hydrocarbon liquids loadout at class II disposal well facilities, flowback vessel control requirements, and emission reduction requirements for natural gas-fired reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE). The Commission also adopted new requirements for air quality monitoring during pre-production and early production oil and gas operations.
