September 17, 2019 COGCC ISSUES NEW GUIDANCE ON WELD COUNTY PERMITSpdf
On September 17, 2019, the COGCC issued a new Guidance Document (which can be found here) related to Form 2 permit applications in Weld County. The new Guidance provides that the COGCC will conduct a 60-day review of all Form 2s submitted on or after August 5, 2019. However, completeness on a Form 2 will not be determined until there is an approved Form 2A, a Drilling and Spacing Unit (DSU) Order (if applicable), and an approved WOGLA permit. The Guidance provides that operators may submit a Form 2 at the same time as a Form 2A. However, Staff will not review the Form 2 for completeness until there is an approved Form 2A, DSU Order (if applicable) and WOGLA permit. For any Form 2 that has passed completeness after August 5, 2019 and before September 17, 2019, Staff will place these Form 2s on hold until the 2A, DSU and WOGLA are completed.
