January 3, 2022 COGCC NOTICES HIGH PRIORITY HABITAT MAP UPDATE RULEMAKING
On December 31, 2021 the COGCC noticed a High Priority Habitat (HPH) map layer Rulemaking as a result of updated inventories and monitoring. The following High Priority Habitat areas have been identified by CPW as needing maps modifications: raptor nests and roost sites, grouse and prairie chicken lek sites and occupied ranges, bat hibernacula, migration corridors, production areas, severe winter ranges, winter concentration areas, and winter ranges. These updates also reflect changes to any CPW-owned State Wildlife Areas and State Parks within the State of Colorado. The Rulemaking has been noticed for April 6-8, 2022 at the COGCC with a Zoom attendance option. Information about the Notice of Rulemaking, including a draft of the proposed rule and map changes, can be found on the COGCC homepage: https://cogcc.state.co.us/#/home.
