June 8, 2021 WYOMING ANNOUNCES SECOND ENERGY REBOUND PROGRAM TO BOLSTER OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
On June 8, 2021, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon announced a second iteration of the Energy Rebound Program (“ERP”), originally implemented in 2020 to assist Wyoming energy producers in the wake of COVID-19. The second ERP will offer up to $12 million of CARES Act funds to support projects and employment within the oil and gas industry. Projects eligible for funding must be located in Wyoming, and those projects providing the greatest economic, environmental and employment benefits to Wyoming will be given funding priority. Projects need not be completed before the end of 2021 to be eligible for funding, but only expenses incurred on or before December 31, 2021 may be reimbursed with program funds. Like the first ERP, each approved project is capped at $500,000. Applications will be accepted only between June 15 and June 25, and no late applications will be accepted. The second ERP will be administered by the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which has provided the application forms and information at WOGCC – Energy Rebound Program (wyo.gov).
