October 5, 2023 ECMC Adopts High Priority Habitat Map Updates
On October 5, 2023, the Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission unanimously approved Colorado Parks & Wildlife’s proposed High Priority Habitat (HPH) map updates in a Rulemaking Hearing. The new HPH map layer can be found on the ECMC’s website. During the Rulemaking Hearing, CPW and the ECMC agreed to develop a Guidance Document on Pre-Application Consultation for Oil and Gas Development Plans in HPH. Pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-4-103(5), the new HPH map becomes effective twenty days after publication in the Colorado Register.
