On August 31, 2021, the Offices of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in several states, including Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming, announced they now seek public input on numerous parcels in each state for competitive oil and gas lease sales that were deferred pursuant to Executive Order 14008, “Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad,” issued by the Executive Office of President Biden on January 27, 2021.
